Belville, NC, September 15, 2022: The Belville Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce the start of major upgrades to Gregory Road and Backhoe Road near the
Belville Industrial Park and the Waterford Business Center. Prior to Covid, the Belville Board of Commissioners made street repairs in the industrial park area a top priority,
especially in advance of the startup of H2GO’s reverse osmosis water treatment plant.

While construction delays caused by the virus were unavoidable, Belville – working with our partners H2GO, Gregory Poole, Inman Trucking, and Technical Coating – will
commence working on the upgrades later this month.

To honor the collective efforts of Belville and our partners, the town will host a ceremony this Friday, September 16th, at 1pm near the entrance of Gregory Poole Equipment Company, 151 Backhoe Road NE in Leland.

“The Commissioners and I are committed to helping our businesses thrive and promoting the safety for all who travel through Belville’s Industrial Park and the Waterford Business Center,” said Mayor Allen. “While Covid created significant obstacles, we are working diligently with our partners to make sure this important task is completed. These road improvements literally lay the groundwork for a thriving future,” said Mayor Allen.

This effort also involves teaming with the legal staff of Gregory Poole Equipment Company to move forward on an annexation petition process so that the portions of Gregory Road and Backhoe Road which are not in Belville’s jurisdiction can be annexed into the corporate limits and included in the town’s municipal street system.
